Turid Karlsen performs together with the Amati Ensemble in Maastricht Conservatory on the 14th of March during the Maastricht fair, TEFAF. On 15th of March Karlsen and the Amati Ensemble will perform in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
Turid Karlsen has given numerous concerts in operas in Europe, as well as locations such as Quebec, Dallas and Los Angeles. Karlsen has been a student at the Maastricht Conservatory, but is now professor at Hamburg Musikschule. In 2004 she received the Kirsten Flagstad Prize for her performance at the Norwegian Opera.
In Karlsen's repertoire one finds composers like Beethoven, Mahler, Verdi, Mozart, Wagner and Strauss. In Maastricht and Amsterdam she will perform the following program:
Mozart: Piano Trio in C, KV 548
Schumann: "Frauenlienliebe und Leben" op. 42
Mozart: Aria ’L’amerò, sarò constante’ (from ’Il re pastore’, KV 208)
Schumann: Piano Quartet in Es, op. 47
